MeltDose® technology

MeltDose® (www.meltdose.com) is a one step industrial process designed to enhance the oral bioavailability of poorly water soluble drugs. The formulation principle is based on creation of a solid dispersion through a simple physical process. MeltDose® has been validated in numerous clinical studies, in partnerships with several leading pharmaceutical companies and by the FDA approval and launch of Fenoglide®. The MeltDose® process uses only conventional manufacturing equipment and has been scaled up to 400kg. The process is patent protected until 2022 and it is also possible to obtain dedicated product patents.  LCP offers partnering programs to apply MeltDose® to develop new formulations or to improve efficacy of existing marketed compounds.
